May + June +July = Patriotic Months! Patriotic holidays kick off with Memorial Day and end with Independence Day on July 4th. This is awesome news for busy and intentional people because you can set up Patriotic Decor on your porch or patio, change it up by adding a few basic pieces each month, and then leave it all out for 3 months! Here is how you can use patriotic yard decor for your front porch.
May= Remembering Memorial Day with Memorial Decorations
I kick off my Patriotic season in May with a red, white, and blue wreath for my door. Welcoming guests at the front is important part of patriotic yard decor and curb appeal. Have you seen a clothes pin wreath? These are super easy to create and they can be as simple or ornate as you want. A wreath is the perfect red, white, and blue decoration to remember those who gave everything for our freedom. Check out my tutorial to create your own wreath, which includes the ability to add a Memorial Day message.
June= Patriotic Yard Decor for Flag Day
When June rolls around, I add flags to my front porch. With the weather getting warmer, It becomes ideal to add flowers and color to my front porch. I purchased some red vincas and added small U.S. flags to a large flower pot on my front porch. Next, I change the message on my clothespin wreath. Finally, I add a cute outdoor garden flag. You can make a cute outdoor garden flag as part of your patriotic yard decor, even if you don’t sew.
July= The Ultimate Red, White, and Blue Decoration Holiday
Towards the end of June, I add fireworks and sparkle to my porch decor. I love a good firework display; however, living in the city, I can’t set off any type of firework. It took a bit of a search; but, I figured a way around the law and as a bonus, I was able to add more patriotic yard decor to my porch. You can create your own fire cracker display for your porch or patriotic yard decor. Check out the tutorial for creating your own legal fire cracker display.
I love my patriotic outdoor decorations because they are simple, easy, and inexpensive. I also love how I be intentional by adding something small each month to change up the design. Most of all, I adore my patriotic yard decor to celebrate and acknowledge all 3 Patriotic holidays.
